I sat down and sighed. I had worked hard to get this position in the circus show and had gone and ruined it by breaking my leg.

"Im sorry WhirlWind." My older brother, Fleeter, sat down next to me on the worn out bench.

"Why can't I still perform! I use my wings!" I complained, spreading my large blue wings.

"What about the part of the act where you are on the ground?" Fleeter asked, "You can't exactly limp through that."

I sighed heavily and folded my wings. I stared at the ground, wishing I had healing powers.

I groaned again and tried to get up. "Nooo no, let me help." My brother said, and attempted to put me on his back.

"Fleeter!" I snapped, "I'm not a baby." I flapped up into the air, "Wings remember?"

Fleeter just glared at me, typical brother. "How 'bout we see who took your place?" He suggested gruffly.

I shrugged, "Why not?"

We headed into the main tent. The show had just begun and my act was second so we didn't have to wait long. The lights shut off and everyone gasped, I just smiled. A blueish light in the shape of a pony appeared, standing on the acrobat platform. Cloud Swing had arrived. She spread her glowing blue bat wings and flapped into the air. Everypony's eyes were on her and no one saw the small glowing wolf trot into the ring.

My jaw dropped. HOW DID CLOUD FEATHER GET MY PART?!

That shy winged wolf wasn't cut out for the part, at least I thought he wasn't. The glowing figure of Cloud Swing suddenly plummeted, earning collective gasps and catching my eye. Her figure suddenly caught a glowing rope swing and she spun around it gracefully. I noticed Cloud Feather's small figure climbing up the acrobat platform.

Why wasn't he using his wings? Cloud Swing was awing the audience with graceful flips and stunts, leaving the small Cloud Feather unnoticed; I was the only one who had spotted him.

Then he reached the top of the platform and spread his enormous wings.

The crowd noticed him then.

Cloud Feather's humongous wings were beautifully painted with amazing glowing blue and green designs. I gasped at this, as did everypony else in the tent.

Suddenly he jumped off the platform, Cloud Swing following his movements. Then the two came together and spread their wings, and in a flash of vibrant color the lights shut off. It was pitch black for a few seconds, and when the lights switched back on the two performers were nowhere to be seen.

The clapping that followed was monstrous. And I had to put my hooves together for my little bud Cloud Feather.
